As a doctor, I have been intrigued by the complex workings of the human mind. Through my practice, I have developed a deep appreciation for the grit and determination of the human spirit and the individuality of each person’s path. Each person’s journey is a reminder of the strength, complexity, and uniqueness we all carry within us.
My Hobbies
I’m a book lover through and through. You can usually find me curled up with a good story or an intriguing idea. My reading list is a blend of psychoanalytic papers that provoke deep thought, poetry that stirs my soul, and stories that ignite my imagination. Reading fuels my writing and helps me connect with the questions and emotions that define our humanity.
When I want a break from the realm of words, I turn to my orchids. They are a bit high maintenance, but I adore them. Caring for them reminds me to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the world's small, quiet moments of beauty. It’s a much-needed balance to the busyness of life.
My Writing
As a blogger, I'm excited to share thoughtful insights on mental health and those pivotal moments that shape our lives! I aim to provide insights that help you navigate your journey, enhance self-understanding, and inspire growth. It is exciting and humbling to bring years of experience and reflection to this project. I am eager to see where this writing journey leads. My goal is simple: to write something that speaks to the quiet questions people carry inside.

She works with various conditions, offering a thoughtful, well-rounded approach.
Dr. Antia’s curiosity about the human experience took her on an impressive journey. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Temple University before heading to the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center for her child and adolescent psychiatry residency. There, she served as the Chief Resident. Her quest for knowledge and growth led her to pursue a two-year program in psycho-dynamic psychotherapy at the Florida Psychoanalytic Center, followed by a rigorous four-year advanced program in psychoanalytic theory at the same institution. While her residences honed her expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, her psychoanalytic training added a rich understanding of the complexities of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This blend of medical rigor and deep psychological insight allows Dr. Antia to see beyond the disorder, focusing on the whole person.
Dr. Antia is embarking on an exciting new chapter: the world of authorship. After decades of immersing herself in the dense but fascinating realms of medical textbooks, academic articles, and psychoanalytic literature, she hopes to synthesize complex jargon into clear, relatable prose. After decades of hearing similar questions about the human experience from people from all walks of life, Dr. Antia started writing to make this information more accessible. She aims to provide evidence-based answers to questions that many people find themselves pondering throughout their lives.
This website chronicles her leap into writing. A journey fueled by curiosity and determination. Along the way, she will share her experiences as a new author, offering glimpses into the challenges and triumphs of turning decades of expertise into compelling stories and actionable advice. Her eventual goal is to create a series of books and blogs that demystify mental health for everyone.
Feel free to share your feedback on the writing— what you loved, what resonated with you, or what had you yawning. Your thoughts are genuinely valued. Whether you are here for mental health tips, updates on her writing progress, or to cheer her on, welcome to the journey!
